Let’s get an early-morning start and hike the beautiful Bear Grass Trail and Red Oak Trail at Crownridge Canyon Natural Area. We will hike the 1.9-mile route at a relaxed pace, stopping occasionally to observe plants, insects, and birds.
Follow this link for a park map with detailed trail access information.
We will meet at the pavilion (near the park entrance) at 8:00 am. Bring 1 liter of water per person and a favorite hiking snack. A backpack, hat, and sturdy shoes are recommended, too.
This hike is designed for kids and youth 10 years and older plus a parent.
The hike will be led by David Goree, education coordinator with San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. Contact him for questions about the event or the trail: David.Goree2@nullsanantonio.gov, (210) 207-3782
