Plant & Animal Identification Nature Walk
Crownridge Canyon Natural Area – 7222 Luskey Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78256
Join Alamo Area Master Naturalists, from 9-11am Saturday, April 19, for a walk in the park! We’ll begin by introducing the City Nature Challenge taking place April 25-28 and show participants the basics on using the documentation and identification application, iNaturalist! Then the group will head out onto the trails to capture and identify as many native species as possible!
This nature walk is part of the preparation for the City Nature Challenge (CNC). From April 25 to April 28, San Antonio Natural Area Parks, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, and Texas Parks Wildlife Department will participate in a fun challenge to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. It’s easy to participate by simply making observations on your own using iNaturalist!
· Please download iNaturalist on your phone and create user profile before arriving.
· Meet at the trailhead pavilion.
· Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather.
· This is a good activity for adults and older children.
· Pets are not allowed at Crownridge Canyon Natural Area
